Online recruitment is on the rise in India, with a 9% increase observed in April 2024 compared to both April 2023 and March 2024, according to research from foundit. Organisations across India are anticipating continued growth of the online recruitment sector and a positive hiring outlook throughout the remainder of the year. Â
Production and manufacturing roles have shown the most substantial growth, with a 20% increase month-over-month and a 31% increase year-over-year. Other sectors experiencing significant growth include imports and exports (15%) and healthcare (14%). At the same time, the telecommunications and education sectors are experiencing recruitment challenges, the report finds. Â
Employers in India are seeking out candidates with skills in digital marketing and communications (6%); healthcare (6%); and senior management (6%).
